Welcome

The Asia-Pacific Emissions Trading Forum (AETF) is the prime information service and business network dealing with domestic and international developments in greenhouse gas emissions markets in this region. The AETF provides a range of services including publications, board briefings, events, and networking opportunities for its members.

Emissions trading is increasingly seen as the policy instrument of choice wherever policy makers seek to achieve significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. International emissions trading is a key element of the Kyoto Protocol while national and regional schemes are operating or are under active consideration in the European Union, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

Consequently, international and domestic trading issues and opportunities are of growing interest throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
