The Emissions Trading Blog

15 May 2009:
Welcome to the Emissions Trading Blog

The AETF is dedicated to open debate and honest discussion about the implementation of emissions trading in Australia, and eventually, linking such a scheme abroad.

Emissions trading is a hot topic at the moment, as the Commonwealth Government presented draft legislation for Australia’s proposed Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme to Parliament on 14 May 2009.

The AETF is not a lobby group, nor are we beholden to any industry. We are independent organisation that seeks to work constructively with policy makers, industry participants and the general public in order to address climate change impacts in Australia, and the region.

Excellent website. Simple, informative and straight to the point. It's great to see a website/blog/repository like this in Australia. I've already learnt a lot from the AETF. I'm looking forward to reading some interesting pieces and participating in finding a solution to one of the most complex environment/economic problems of our times.
