Advisory Services and Board BriefingsAdvisory servicesThrough its in-house resources, and its national and international affiliates, in particular the Allen Consulting Group, the AETF provides advisory services to industry and government in the areas of energy and climate change policy, and emissions trading. It brings together the capabilities of experienced advisers covering all aspects of international and domestic climate change policy, emissions trading developments, and emissions management. Our advisers have established an extensive client list including major companies such as BHP Billiton, Orica, Point Carbon, and the Sydney Futures Exchange, and agencies such as the Australian Greenhouse Office, the National Emissions Trading Taskforce, Council of Australian Government, the Western Australian Forest Products Commission, and a range of other Commonwealth and state government clients. Board briefingsEmissions trading developments in Australia and abroad are currently in a state of flux. Uncertainty abounds, and policy and market developments are often difficult to navigate. The AETF offers high-level, tailored board briefings, pitched at Board and senior executive level, to companies facing emissions trading liabilities, as well as those organisations wishing to position themselves or restructure to accomodate a future carbon price. Briefings include a PowerPoint overview of key developments in the national emissions trading agenda, followed by follow-up question and answer session. Typically, briefings runf for an hour, and can be tailored to particular company interests. Dr Tony Beck, Chairman of the AETF, and Brett Janissen, the Executive Director, offer their expertise through board briefings in Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney. The standard cost is AUD$2,200, plus an agreed travel component. Contact:
